CORPORATE HISTORY

PACIFIC PROTECTIVE SYSTEMS LTD. began operations in 1950 as one of the first burglar alarm companies in Vancouver. We have been installing, servicing, and monitoring alarm systems continuously since that time.

The company was formally incorporated in 1965. At that time a new venture was started. Pacific Protective began manufacturing fire alarm systems. These systems including controls, bells, and pull stations were built in Vancouver from 1965 to 1980.

In 1980 we saw the security market expanding and decided to wind down the manufacturing division and concentrate heavily in the security market. Today we handle all aspects of electronic security. Our activities include:

Installing, maintaining and monitoring of burglar alarms

Design, installation and maintenance of card access systems

Closed circuit television systems (CCTV)

High security locking systems

Computer locking systems

We are currently hard at work developing a web site that, among other things, will allow our clients to observe and review their alarm activity from their own computer. They will also be able to make changes to file information on their alarm system without having to call the office. We will also be able to take payment by credit card over the Internet.
